Building Maintenance Technician

MRCI in Mankato is currently seeking a Building Maintenance Technician. This individual is responsible for performing highly diversified duties relative to facility cleaning, light repair, maintenance, and yard work, as well as the supervision of clients assigned to custodial duties. The Maintenance Technician is also responsible for closing down and securing buildings at the end of the workday.

Hours: M-F, 9:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Qualifications:

The Maintenance Technician position at MRCI requires two years of general maintenance experience, including the operation of cleaning equipment, light repair, preventative maintenance and yard work. In addition, the Maintenance Technician must have some knowledge of people with mental and developmental disabilities, and good communication skills. The individual in this position must also have a valid Driver's License, and access to reliable transportation. Must be highly motivated and able to work independently and have the ability to work with hand and power tools.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalence. Associate's Degree in mechanical or industrial maintenance a plus.
