CDS Accounting Clerk

 Essential Responsibilities/Duties:

1.      Collects data and maintains accounts using standard accounting practices. Uses Microsoft Excel spreadsheets to record and maintain data for accumulating year to date information.

2.      Works in cooperation with other CDS staff to monitor client spending plans. 

3.      Processes CDS timesheets accurately and efficiently.

4.      Works closely with CDS Customer Service staff to provide good customer service.

5.      Submits timely and accurate monthly billing to the appropriate funding sources.

6.       Maintains a filing system for assigned reports (client billings)

7.      Understands and has ability to perform the duties of other accounting staff in their absence.

8.      Responsible for other duties which may be assigned

Qualifications/Requirements: An Accounting Clerk is required to have three to five years of experience depending on the degree. This individual must be able to operate a personal computer and have extensive experience with Microsoft Office products, in particular Excel, and current accounting mainframe software. Must also be able to proficiently operate a 10 key calculator.  Demonstrate basic accounting skills and have the ability to do mathematical equations including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

Education: High School diploma and three to five years of related experience or community college degree in a related field and three years of related experience.
