CDS Designated Coordinator

Job Summary:

The CDS Designated Coordinator for the CDS department at MRCI will oversee all CDS services affected by DHS licensing rules.  In addition, the Designated Coordinator will ensure all current and future licensing requirements are met relative to CDS programs. Further, the Designated Coordinator will be responsible for financial oversight to determine program feasibility and sustainability.  As an employee of MRCI, this individual is expected and required to maintain the highest ethical standards.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversees all services within CDS governed by DHS licensing rules, specifically MN Statute 245D; ensures that all licensing are met.
  • Maintains understanding and expertise in all current requirements and all future updates to licensing rules, guidelines, protocols and reporting requirements.
  • Arranges for, and attends Individual Plan meetings as needed.
  • Coordinates the efforts of the family, staff and other involved individuals to provide services to the clients.
  • Responsible for developing and initiating an appropriate CSSP Addendum.
  • Ensures staff competency: guarantees that staff have access to mandated training and testing, that the training is tracked and that the training is completed within licensing timelines.
  • Provides supervision, instruction and assistance to staff implementing the CSSP Addendum and Outcomes.
  • Performs direct observations of service delivery to assess staff competency.
  • Monitors and reviews continued appropriateness of the CSSP Addendums and Outcomes, and oversees the making of revisions as needed.
  • Maintains documentation of the individual client's progress, according to the licensing standards.
  • Engages and contracts with outside Designated Coordinators to implement program requirements.
  • Ensure implementation of any corrective action ordered by DHS.

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university, plus at least three years of human services experience in the areas of customer service or direct service to clients/
  • Strong writing, reading, and interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Strong problem solving and reasoning skills. 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer based office software, including Word and Excel. 
  • Excellent customer service skills. 
  • Must have a valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
  • Clear a MN Department of Human Services background check and physical exam to demonstrate the ability to perform the physical demands of the job.
