CDS Program Manager
Job Summary: The CDS Program Manager is responsible for assisting in the operation of the CDS department within all established standards. Further this individual is responsible for overseeing staff development; for working to develop and maintain departmental best practices, policies, products and procedures; for recognizing new developments in the FMS field and communicating this information. As an employee of MRCI, this individual is expected and required to maintain the highest ethical standards.
Essential Responsibilities/Duties:
- Assists in the operation of the CDS program in compliance with agency policy and objectives, within licensing and certification guidelines, professional and ethical standards, state and federal laws.
- Assists in developing the skills and program knowledge of the Customer Service staff and the Payroll/Billing clerks.
- Remains current with legislative changes and county trends. Work with individual counties, DHS, other providers and individuals within CDS to develop FSE and Licensed Provider best practices.
- Reviews, revises and develops client service policies, products and procedures as needed, to conform to current federal and state guidelines. Ongoing, ensure that these policies, products and procedures continue to meet established standards.
- Remains aware of new programs, new program techniques, new legislation and other pertinent information that may have an effect on present programs or implications for new programs in the field.
- Maintains a solid understanding of all rules and regulations that govern the funding sources associated with the current CDS programs and plan types.
- Monitors efforts within the department to reduce the number of aging accounts.
- Supervises CDS staff as assigned.
- Communicates information about CDS services to departmental staff and to the general public through informal and formal presentations.
- Functions as departmental liaison with IT and provides technical support to other CDS staff.
- With the Vice President of CDS, prepares and submits an Annual Budget of operating expenses and equipment needs and when approved, purchasing supplies and equipment within the budgetary limitations established by agency policy.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualifications/Requirements: The CDS Program Manager position at MRCI requires at least five years of related experience and a minimum of two years of service to individuals with disabilities or other disadvantages. In addition, the individual in this position must also have excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. A valid Driver's License and reliable transportation is also a requirement of the position.
Education/Experience: A Bachelor's Degree in a related field from an accredited university with at least five years related experience.
