Employment Coordinator
Job Summary:
The Employment Coordinator serves as a cross-functional team member, which involves training, coaching, supporting, discovering and achieving the personal employment goals of numerous individuals with disabilities and/or disadvantages. As a strong communicator, the Employment Coordinator will also ensure regular communication with clients, client teams, funders, employers, co-workers and community members as well as closely tracking all employment activity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs employment activities to include, but not limited to, receiving referrals and skill-training through employment assessment, placement and follow-a-long.
- Completes and maintains client paperwork as required by all licensing and/or accreditation regulations and agency policies.
- Builds and cultivates relationships with business owners and/or managers to source skill-building opportunities for the ranging abilities and preferences of those this position serves.
- Develops and maintains relationships including a wide range of audiences with varied interests such as clients, client team members, funding sources, employers and community members.
- Maintains a professional network that is knowledgeable about multiple industries.
- Prioritizes competing relationships to best meet all customer needs.
- Utilizes technology and processes to ensure timely communication and makes cold calls.
- Serves as an ambassador for MRCI in community functions, presentations and involvement.
- Exceeds revenue goals and maintains budget expenses.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with MRCI's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include: interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; providing performance feedback; rewarding, coaching, and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Works independently, remotely, and does so while collaborating with a team and meeting personal goals.
- Transports clients in personal and/or business vehicle.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:

Experience providing direct care services to people with disabilities or age 65 and older, preference given to those with experience teaching and/instructing individuals with disabilities, and one of the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a human services related field plus one year of full-time work.
- Associate's Degree in a human services related field plus two years of full-time work.
- Diploma in a field related to human services from an accredited postsecondary institution plus three years of full-time work.
- Four years of full-time work experience under the supervision of a staff person who meets the qualifications listed above and a minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services and disabilities.
- Preference for individuals with a proven successful history in group facilitation as well as one-one-training facilitation.
- Strong supervisory skills.
- Practical understanding of business acumen.
- Sales and customer service experience preferred.
- Be sensitive to the needs of individuals with disabilities.
- Must possess excellent communication skills both with clients and customers.
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- Demonstrate proficiency in computer based office software.
- Must have a valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
- Must pass a background check through the Department of Human Services and clear a physical exam that proves you meet the demands of the job.
Starting pay is $46,308 per year
