Production Planner

MRCI WorkSource in St. Peter is currently hiring for a Production Planner. The Production Planner coordinates and expedites the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to daily and weekly production schedules.

Job Duties:

• Review and distribute production, work and shipment schedules; conferring with department supervisors to determine progress of work and completion dates; inventory levels and solving production problems
• Ensure daily production requirements are achieved to meet customer expectations
• Analyze and prepare documents for production operations to include: production job packets, warehouse material pick sheets and customer pick orders
• Data analysis and decision making to support raw material supply and finished goods demand
• Creates production schedule and prioritizes job orders for production optimization
• Prepare production and analysis reports for weekly production meetings commenced by the production manager
• Interacts with shop floor management/staff on a daily basis to resolve issues regarding manufacturing efficiencies or additional information as required from Production Manager, Customer Service, Sales and Accounting
• Participate in monthly inventories in roles designated by the production manager
• Prepare inventory documents to include: count teams schedule and count tickets or sheets
• Maintain all production dashboards to ensure up to date information is noted

Education/Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree plus a minimum of one year of experience in a manufacturing environment OR equivalent work experience
• Minimum of one year of experience working with ERP and MRP
• APICS certification preferred

Hours: M-F; 7:30-4 p.m. with some flexibility
