MRCI WorkSource is looking for a Programmer/Analyst to join the Mankato Team!
Job Summary: The Programmer/Analyst is responsible for planning, implementation and maintenance of vendor provided software to enable MRCI to realize maximum return on its investment in technology. The Programmer/Analyst is responsible for assuring that assigned work is done on schedule with quality, in accordance with Information Technology industry best practices; and may work with outside sources for technical support, keeping the security of MRCI's electronic records a high priority. As an employee of MRCI, this individual is expected and required to maintain the highest ethical standards.
- Analysis and troubleshooting of business processes & problems as they arise.
- Provide support in the operation of software applications, including end-user training and problem-solving.
- Designing and creating data models.
- Maintain existing business applications.
- Develop reports based on end-user requirements.
- Constantly improving skills to match the latest application methodologies.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical problems and issues so that non-technical personnel can understand.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- 2 or more years of experience in software development utilizing VB.NET and MS-SQL.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server; Integration Services and Reporting Services.
- SharePoint experience a plus.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems or closely related field from an accredited college or university, or equivalent preferred.
